Golf

We are proud to welcome guests to experience the championship golf course at Sparrows Point Country Club. To help ensure an enjoyable visit for everyone, we ask that all guests become familiar with the following general golf rules and guidelines during their time at the club:

  • All guests must check in at the Golf Shop before starting play on either the Championship Course or the Four-Hole Loop. This includes confirming player details, walking or riding status, and any applicable guest information.
  • Guest fees must be paid prior to play and include cart fees, even if walking.
  • All play begins on the first tee unless otherwise directed by the Golf Professional Staff.
  • Members may host up to three guests per group. If a group exceeds three guests, additional groups must have consecutive tee times. We recommend inviting another SPCC member to join a second group when possible. Exceptions require approval from the Golf Professional Staff.
  • Only licensed drivers aged 16 and over may operate a golf cart.
  • A maximum of two riders per cart is permitted.
  • Single cart riders are not permitted except during official Match Play Championships. Members and guests may be asked to pair up during busy times to maximize cart availability.
  • Members and guests are responsible for any damages caused while operating golf carts.
  • All players must follow daily cart rules and posted signage.
  • Proper golf etiquette is expected at all times, including replacing divots, repairing ball marks, raking bunkers, and observing proper cart usage.
  • The expected pace of play is 4 hours and 15 minutes for a foursome. Groups falling more than one hole behind must regain position. Please allow faster groups to play through when there is an open hole ahead.
  • If assistance is needed with pace of play, members are encouraged to contact the Golf Professional Staff.
  • Players in official SPCC tournaments have priority on the course and tee sheet.
  • Members are asked to cancel tee times as soon as possible if plans change to allow other members and guests the opportunity to play.
  • Handicap flag usage requires a completed SPCC Handicap Flag Policy Agreement, submitted annually with proper documentation.
  • Any player extending play beyond their originally reserved number of holes must notify the Golf Shop.
